The Missing Link!
I recently purchased a Pro-Ject X8 turntable and as part of my upgrade, I had a Pure Fidelity Stratos cartridge installed on it (Thank you Don).
The Stratos is very well regarded online and it came highly recommended by Warren Lavender of Audioarcan. It is not yet fully broken in, still .... I am astounded at the sound of this combination. The clarity, the presence, the spatiality, and the definition are all more than I could have imagined possible with my system, I am very pleased indeed.
My Icon Audio Stereo 40 (Signature Edition) now has the kind of quality input it deserves and my PMC twenty5.23's and a pair of REL T7/X subwoofers sing as a result.
Thank you to Warren and Don for their suggestions and technical help. The Pure Fidelity Stratos Cartridge was indeed, the missing link.
